How it all started...
SHow it all started...
The 1st SALT Church was born on September 13, 2015.
The first two meetings were held at the Gulf Shores Adult Activity Center. Through faith and prayer, the Lord immediately provided a building for the infant church to grow and mature in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Within a few weeks, four Growth Groups were formed and began meeting in homes. SALT Church believes these groups are vital to building relationships and strengthening faith through fellowship, prayer, and Bible study.
Just before the pandemic, SALT Church merged with Genesis Church on Count Road 4. This turned out to be a huge blessing as the pandemic would have surely ruined us financially. But God is so good allowing us to join our friend for a period of time so that we could remain in tact.
After four years, God quickly made it known that SALT Church was to reform. We began gathering in the Legendary Marine showroom on September 11th, 2022 at 3977 Gulf Shores Pkwy, Gulf Shores, AL, Two days before our original anniversary. On that 1st day we had approximately 20 people.
Again, through faith and prayer, the Lord has led us to a permanent home. On October 2nd, 2022, we gathered in our very own space located at 22394 Miflin Rd Suite 303, Foley, AL.
We have grown so much over the last few years. We have added over a hundred people to our family with and average attendance over hundred on Sundays and around ninety on Wednesday nights.
Since our very humble beginnings with only two services, we have added many ministries like:
•Three Adult Sunday school classes
oOne that focuses on stronger, healthy, Godly marriages
•Youth Sunday School
•Children’s Sunday School
•Wednesday Night fellowship that includes a meal at 6pm and Bible study @7pm
•Monday morning “Ohana Class” for widowed ladies 60 and older.
•Men’s group on the second Tuesday of every month
•Ladies Group on the 1st Tuesday of every month
•The Breakfast Club every Friday morning at 8:30
•Youth Group every Thursday night @ 6pm
We also throw in Sunday fellowship lunches and an occasional New Years Eve bon fire.
